15 Classic Board Games To Teach Your Kids How to Play | Toy ...

Have you tried turning off the TV, putting away the tech gadgets and sitting around the kitchen table to play a good ?ol board game? We struggle with doing this ourselves and it?s definitely not due to a lack of board games to play. You should see our game closet. Phew! The issue is just not making the time for it.

When we do take the time to play a game together as a family, we always seem to come back to the classics such as Monopoly, Scrabble and most recently at a party ? Twister. Sure, we also play some new games and the classic ones with a modern twist, but there?s just something about those classics.

With the Holidays coming up, hopefully we will all have a little extra time with family and friends. How great would it be to spend some of that time playing together as a family? 1. Monopoly

MonopolyIn 1934, in the midst of the Great Depression, an unemployed heating engineer from Pennsylvania created the game of Monopoly. Realizing that his get-rich theme might appeal to other Americans, he had the game printed and distributed in a Philadelphia department store. When he couldn?t keep up with the overwhelming requests for more sets, he arranged for Parker Brothers to take over the game. And the rest, as they say, is history.?Whether you?re discovering the capitalistic thrill of Monopoly for the first time, or reliving wonderful memories, get out there and buy, sell and trade. Includes gameboard, 11 tokens, Title Deed cards, play money, Chance cards, Community Chest cards, 32 houses, 12 hotels and 2 dice. Ages 8 to adult, 2 to 8 players. Imported.
